Prop Shaft mounting - it's too long!

Came to fit the propshaft and found it was too long! With the prop fully in the end of the transmission, with no play, the engine was about 20mm too far forwards.

In this picture you can see the transmissin mounting rubbers don't fit on the mounting plate ont he chassis:



The RHS mounting bolt is about 20mm out:


And the LHS is slightly further (it didn't line up in the 1st place):


There's no play at the rear end:


When I measured teh propshaft is exacltly as specified in the manual:


Exactly 555m between centres:
