More work on the front, removed:
- air filter assembly & ducting
- power steering pump (left pipes connected)
- alarm (there was an after market alarm fitted)
- side repeaters
and managed to pull the wiring looms from the engine compartment into the main body of the car.
Finished the weekend with a nice collection of bits:

Dismantling - Day 2
Started on the front, removed:
- under cover
- bonnet
- front bumper
- horns
- radiator
- cooling fan
- headlights
- coolant reservoir
- carbon canister, pipe work and mounting bracket
- screen washer bottle and pump
- under cover
- bonnet

also had a good time with the angle grinder (picture taken before some of the above stuff was taken off)...

Dismantling - Day 1
Finally traveled down to the in-laws and got my first look at the donor MX5. Looks just like the eBay pictures!
Dismantling - Day 1
Removed the battery with tray & brackets then started on the interior. Removed the following items:
- seats
- gear shift knob
- rear console
- steering column lower cover
- complete steering column
- instrument hood & dials
- centre console
- glove box
- bonnet release
- dashboard
- loom & switches from dashboard
